Last week, I was feeling an intense pain in my sciatica/lower back/piriformis area. JP told me to stop in and he would treat me. Unfortunately, I hobbled around for a few days before dropping in late on a Friday afternoon. I could barely get in and out of my car or put on a pair of pants. Simply walking was causing pain. After an MAT session with JP the pain had subsided almost immediately and has not come back. I am happily back at the gym working out with the rest of the team.

I do HITT style workouts which include a combination of lifting, running and rowing. I had been suffering with what I thought was sciatic pain for almost a year. It was crippling at times impacting the quality and intensity of what I could do. I went to a physical therapist and physical doctor to seek help and neither could diagnose or treat the injury. I always took the time to stretch, roll and hypervolt to try and treat it myself but nothing worked. I did two back-to-back sessions of MAT with JP and for the first time in 11 months, I was able to do my workouts without pain. He gave me exercises to do at home and before my workouts which are easy to do to help maintain the work he did. Whenever I’m home, I try to see him for a tune up. MAT was the only thing that I did differently that I can attribute to being able to push myself again. I’m slowly but surely regaining strength and speed all thanks to JP.
